Solar World hits the 50 project benchmark! A humble, but rewarding moment.

May 2020

May of 2020 marked a very special moment for Solar World. The journey that began back in 2016 as a small solar installation company reached it’s 50th successful project. At the time, the trio running the show was Zahil Zain, Ashwin Rodrigo and Neshan Mahendra. For them and for Fresh Bounce, this was a pivotal moment in their journey. It was a sign of hope and the result of hard, honest work that proved their correct path.

Zahil (Solar World’s Operations Manager at the time) reflects on his experience saying, “Our target was to complete projects with maximum customer satisfaction. Even though some might see it as slow progress, completing 50 projects in a span of four years while maintaining quality installation standards and customer satisfaction was not a simple task. I'm very proud of the team, for their immense commitment”.

For Hasitha Rodrigo (Managing Director - Fresh Bounce), “More than completing 50 projects in four years, I'm extremely proud of how we got to that point. Solar Power being one of the best eco- friendly energy options, me and my team went to great lengths to ensure sustainability during all operations.” Further emphasizing Solar World’s adherence to environmental conciousness and sustainable practices, Neshan (former Digital Marketing Manager) speaks about their ethical and green approach to marketing. “When we focused on Solar World’s digital presence and promotional material in the same format, when we decided to go paper-free in 2017. Given the nature of the market to which this industry belonged, reaching our audience was tough. But our efforts proved worthy when we reached 50 projects. It was a small target achieved, that set the stage for rapid acceleration even among the pandemic.”

The rate at which Solar World expanded after the first 50 projects was astounding and reaching 80 projects by 2022 was a breeze in comparison. Solar World managed to stride forward among the crisis of shortage of material, inverters and panels, amidst the lockdown. It was an indication of our strength and skills.

From it’s inception, Solar World was working towards the 10 year strategic business plan under Fresh Bounce. So, the company needed a strong foundation of corporate culture and strategy to instill the right attitude, keep the team motivated, to embrace small setbacks and continue their growth. This is where Fresh Bounce comes into the picture and to this continue to hold hands with Solar World in its journey towards clean energy.
